WELLINGTON WOOL AND SKIN SALES.

Messrs Levin *<and Co., Ltd., report as follows regarding Friday's sale:— We held our fortnightly sg}e"..to- day, offering 35 bales wool, 2,000 skins, 850 hides, alio" a quantity of tallow and horsehair. ' Wool—There was good competition, and buyers operated with more confidence at advanced prices in accordance with better tone in London. We quote: Medium crossbred,* 4d to 5f d; inferior, 2d to 4d; lambs wool, 4d to sd; pieces and locks, Id to 2d; good crutchings, 4d to 4£d; medium crutchings, 3d to 4d; seedy and inferior, ljd to 2|d. Skins—Market dhowed an advance of one half-penny for all classes.We quote: Fine crossbreds, 4d to s|d; crossbred, 4d to 4|d; dead skins, 2d to 3&d; dead higgets, 2d to 3Jd; dry pelts, Id to 3d ; lambskins, 3d to sd, green pa Its, 2a to 3s 8d; green lambs woolly, 2s to 3s 4d; green lamb pelts, Is to 2a. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale of wool, skins, hides and tallow on Friday, a lengthy catalogue of all classes being submitted lo a good attendance of buyers. The demand for all classes was about on a par with last sales, excepting for salted skins, for which an easier tone prevailed.
