IMPROVED POSTAL FACILITIES.
The hours of clearance of the various posting-boxes throughout the town have been re-arranged so as to irsjre close connection with the different mails despatched from the Post Office. Commencing from to-day trie boxes will be cleared as follows: —=-Akura road, 10.10 a.m.; Colombo road, 10.30 a.m., 2 p.m., 8 p.m.; Kuripuni, 5.15 a.n.., 10.30 a.m., 2 p.m; Lansdowne, 10.30 a.m., 2 p.m., 8 p.m.; Railway station, after each train; Renall and Queen street, 5.20 a.m., 10.45 a.m., 2.15 p.m , 4.3 H p.m.; Upper Plain road and Railway road, 10.10 a.m.; Wilton's corner, 10.10 a.m. Letters posted in these boxes will be despatched from the Post Office by the first mail closing after the advertised time for clearing the respective boxes. Thus a letter nested in the posting box at the corner of Queen and Renall street at 2.15 p.m., or at Lansdowne at 2 p.m., will connect with the South express mails closing at i;. 30 p.m. It is intended to have the various boxes repainted and the amended hours of clearances notified thereon at once. f
