GENERAL ANNUITIES.
If the scheme for general annuities which, it is understod, the Government intend to bring before Parliament, takes definite and acceptable shape, it might be possible to Iring the Government services into the general scheme, and make one complete job of the whole affair, remarks the Christchurch "Press." There is no apparent reason why various sections of the community should contribute to as many different funds, when all tha purposes desired could be provided by one common superannuation scheme.
