BRITISH TEAM'S TOUR

By Tolegraph—Press Association. NELSON, June 19. The British footballers, with the exception of half dozen who came by steamer yesterday, arrived overland to-night, having experienced fine weather throughout the two days coaching. A large crowd assembled to witness the official reception of the visitors, who were welcomed by the Mayor and Dr Andrew, President of the Nelson Rugby Union. The weather during the past few days has been fine and the ground in good order. There is every prospect of a fine day to-morrow and a big attendance. The following is the British team against the combined Nelson-Marl-borough team:—Full-back, Jackett; thrse-quarters, Gibba, McEvedy, Ponty Jones and J. L. Williams; hilf-backs, W. M. Morgan and Jones (Guys); forwards, Dibble, Jackson, Morgan, Down, Green, Ritson, Archer and J. F. Williams.

A match will be played on the Showgrounds, this afternoon, between the Masterton and Greytown Seniors.
