WELLING'!UN, June 12. At tho Supreme Court, to-day, James Nichells, a qum'iymar:, fued the City Council f»v £250 damages for injuries in a tram accident. It was ail'vul that owing to the negligence of tho Corporation employees in permitting Ihe car to be overcrowded and the motor man suddenly ard negligently turning on the full motive power, causing; the car to violently and suddenly jerk, plaintiff was thrown fiom the tram an 1 injured, lie suffered further injuriis after being thrown out by reason of the Corporation's employees not promptly stopping the car. The jury returned a verdict for the City Council, and judgment was entered up accordingly with costs.
