ANOTHER RECORD. Received June 10, 10.5 p.m. LONDON, June 10. The Lusitania, from New York, steamed 641 knots a day—six knots better than thp Mauritania's record. Last month the Lusitania, from New York, beat the record over the long route by three and a half hours. On her maiden voyage the Lusitania entered New York through the new Ambrose Channel, as a result of which her voyag- 1 . was shortened by five miles. She put up a record on this voyage, covering the distance from Daunt's rock, Liverpool, to the Sandy Hook lightship in Bd 54min, the previous best being the Deutschland's 5d 7hr 38min. Her average speed was 23.01 knots, which was, however, suipased by the following: —Kaiser Wilhtlm 11., 23.59 knots for 3.112 miles; Deutschland, 23 51 knots for 3,082 miles; and Kronprinz Wilhelm, 23.47 knots. On fur second voyage, however, the Lusitania created new recoids, covering 2,780 nautical miles in 4d 19hr 52min, and maintaining an average speed of 23.99 knots. She also put up a record for a single day's run by covering 617 knots, as against the Kaiser Wilhelm ll.'s record of 546 knots. Experts declare that the time is not far distant when the Lusitania will make the voyage in les3 than 4J days.
