On Thursday evening next, at the Town Rail, the opening performance of the Edwin Geach'is Dramatic Company will take place, when "A Modern Adventuress" will be produced. The phay is from the pen of the wellknown author Ei'tigfbrd Carson, is in four acts, and is described as a worlc of great merit. In the scenic and other effects it is statel no expense has' been spared to ensure the correct representation of the play, whicn isr said to be fascinating;, exciting and' of intense human interest, and in the' four acta incidents of a very dramatic l character are introduced. Referring to "A Modern Adventuress," "The Press" (Cbri'stcburch)" sa>s"The play abounds in stirring situations* the effects of which were heightened with magnificent spectacular tfftects. The excellence of the staging adds to the undoubted charm, no detail beinff omitted that would add to the realism of the moving story.
