STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having had a very successful sale on Tuesday, 24th March, at the Camp Corner, Featherston, on account of Mr Arthur Tocker, who has lately sold his farm, and whose stock, consisting of 2, 4 and 6-tooth and fresh full mouth ewes, good forward bullocks, and draught mares and geldings, was shifted there for the convenience of buyers- Two-tooth ewes, one earmark, sold up to 13s 8d; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, one earmark, sold up to 14s lOcl; and 6 and 8-toqth ewes, guaranteed, lis 4d and lis sd. The demand for Shropshire rams was dull, but they were all sold under the hammer. His well-known draught mares and geldings, which are practically all prize-tskers, were not competed for as well an was expected; but, although prices were not up to expectations, they fetched from £4O to £4B for geldings, and £4B to £53 for mares. A line of eleven forward steers brought £5, and all other stock that was offered sold readily. I
(Special to Age). JOHNSONVILLE, March 24. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as followsA big yarding of bullocks came forward, including a few prime pens, but the bulk of the cattle were plain. A small entry of sheep sold at last week's rates. We quote: —Best bullocks, £8 2s 6d, £8 Is 6d, £8 12s 6d to £9, lighter sorts £6 17s 6d, £7 2s 6d to £7 17s 6d, heifers £6 ss, £6. Sheep—Best ewes to 15s, others 13s 7d, 13s lOd, wethers 16s 2d, 15s lOd, lambs lis 2d, lis 3d .to 12a. A line of cull"ewes made 6s, store lambs ss.
