LIEUTENANT ULLMO'S
SENTENCE,
Received February 24, 8.55 a.m PARIS, February 23.
Lieutenant Ullmo was sentenced to transportation for life and military degredation. In the court's opinion he did not succeed in actually divulging any secrets.
The prisoner pleaded that women and opium were the cause of the crimes.
(Lieutenant Ullmo was charged with having endeavoured to sell plans of the Toulon harbour to Germany.)

The Ameer of Afghanistan (Habibullah Khan) has forbidden the Afghan tribesmen to assist the enemies of Great Britain, which is in friendly alliance with Afghanistan.
