The attendance was large. Fourteen bookmakers were licensed inside and twenty-one outside. The sum of £22,429 passed through the totalisator, making £60,867 for the meeting. This is a decrease of £3,604 on last year. Results: — Wallaceville Hack Welter, of 100 sovs; 1 mile. —Moscow, 8.10 (F. D. Jones), 1; Ataahua, 8.7 (G. Price), 2; Sen Sim, 8.5 (D. Price), 3. Ako started Teotane. Won by two lengths. Time, lmin 43§sec. Melrose Handicap, of 125 sovs; 7 furlongs. —Swimming Belt, 8.10 (R. Hatch), 1; De Witte, 7.11 (F. E. Jones), 2; Medallist, 7.12 (H. Donovan), 3. Also started Chatterer 8.0, Aboriginal 7.3, Prism 6.11. Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 29 3-ssec. Kelburne Hack Handicap, of 120 sovs; 7 furlongs.--Red Rain, 9.2 (F. E.
