THE FRENZY OF LOVE.

GERMAN CAPTAIN SHOOTS A MAJOR. ■ THE MAJOR'S WIFE AN ACCESSORY. Received January 3, 8.-12 p.m. LONDON, December 3. A tragedy is reported from Germany. Captain Vergoeben, who fought for the Boers in the war against England, shot Major Von Schoenebect dead on the Major's staircase, in the Allenstein Barracks, at midnight. Captain Vergoeben wore a mask. Reuter says that the evidence points to the Major' 3 wife as the instigator of the crime. She concealed the mask beforehand. Captain Vergoeben confesses that he committed the crime in the frenzy of love.
