PERSONAL.
At St. Peter's Church, Pahiatua, on Thursday last. Mr C. Horrax, son ' of Mr John Horrax, of Mangabao,, was married to Mis* A- Mackty, eldest daughter of Mr Thos. Maoka.y„ of Masterton. Miss Effie Mackay, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and Mr Thos. Horrax, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The honeymoon is being spent in Napier. Mr J. L. Conlan, solicitor, of Christchurch, and formerly ;of Masterton, is at present on a brief visit to town. Mr P. J. O'Leary, of the staff of Messrs Abraham and Williams' Palmerston North branch, and formerly of Masterton, has been promoted to the position of accountant in the firm's Marton office. Mrs Gunderson, of Putara, near Eketahuna, was admitted to the Masterton Hospital, yesterday, suffering from a rather bad fracture of tha left leg, caused by a fall from her buggy yesterday morning. The horse that she was driving took fright at a passing bullock, and commenced to play up, with the result that Mrs Gunc'erson was thrown out of the vehicle. She was-brought to Masterton by train and transferred to the hospital in an ambulance litter.
