Beef—market firm. We quoteNew Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury,' heavy, 5Jd; North Island, quotations are nominal. Prime Canterbury mutton, heavy, 3|d; North Island, 3jd; Ox, beef, fores, 2|d, hinds 3d. Prime Canterbury lamb, light weights, s|d. Mutton, lighted; North Island, 3§d. Australian lamb, 32-401b, 4d to sd. River •Plate frozen mutton, 3d to 31d. 'V-Butter—Market firm, and the Copenhagen official quotation is unchanged. Finest 118s, unsalted 116s. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ended the 23rd instant amounted to 70,000cwt. as compared with 68,000cwt for the corresponding week of 1906. Wool —The sales continue without further change. A good quantity withdrawn. Tallow—Prices are unchanged for all sorts. Hides—Lower by id to |d. Market very dull. Leather—Market dull and nothing doing.. Basils—Market quiet and prices are unchanged. Rabbit-skins—ln general lower by &d, but outgoing. Sheep-skins, in general, are lower by 1 Jd to 2d.
