DECEASED WIFE'S SISTER ACT.
A LARGELY SIGNED ADDRESS. Received October 23, 8.25 a.m. LONDON, October 22. On the eve of a private meeting of bishops at Lambeth Palace, when the Archbishop of Canterbury expected a pronouncement on the subject of the Deceased Wife's Sister Act, Viscount Halifax, President of the EngMsh Church Union, forwarded to the Archbishop an address signed by 8,700 priests, eight bishops (including Dr. Goe> ex-Bishop of Melbourne)), seven deans, and seventeen archdeacons, thanking his Grace for vindicating the marriage law of the church, and assuring him of the heartiest support.
