The following re-handicaps have been declared by Mr J. H. Pollock in connection with the Masterton Racing Club's forthcoming meeting:— Hurdles.—Royal Blue 10.10. October Handicap. Strathcona 8.7. On account of the number of outside horses competing at the meeting, ! considerable difficulty has been experienced by the secretary of the club in obtaining boxes for horses. A number of visiting horses have arrived for the meeting and have taken up their quarters at Opaki. The track i? in first-class order, and all the arrangements are complete. AtFlemington this moining Rhubarb and Tartan, separately, registered half a mile % in 52sec, Lady Diffidence taking a second longer, Tulkeroo has recovered, but it is very doubtful if Subterranean will see the post at the V.R.C. .meeting. Ebullition shows signs of lameness after his efforts at Caulfield on Saturday. Consequent on his showing in the Caulfield Cup, Apologue has been installed a hot favourite for the Melbourne Cup, and the best price about the New Zealandcr is 3 to 1. POVERTY BAY ACCEPTANCES'.
