By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHUItCH, October 21. The adjourned inquest touching the death of the newly-born child of whom Lillian Hobbs, waitress employed at one of the city restaurants, is alleged to be the mother, was held this afternoon, when a verdict was returned that the death of the child was due to neglect on the part of the mother. The mother was then charged with concealing the birth of the child, and was remanded till Wednesday week.
