CRICKET.

The following will represent the W.F.C.A. Cricket Club in a match -vvitr Star A, on the Schoolground, to-morrow afternoon:—Parton, A. Caselberg, Fairbrother, Pragnell, Hall, Welch, Phillips. Uren, Schubert, Wilson, and Ralph. Emergencies Fleming, McFarlane, Ballard. AH players are requested to wear cricketing shoes. Flay will commence at 2.30 p.m. The secretary of the Masterton Thursday Cricket Association received a communication from the Carterton Club, yesterday, slating that they would be able to place only one team in the field this season. The fixtures for this season, which were drawn up on Monday evening, contained two Carterton teams, and the fixtures will either have to be redrawn or the clubs that are drawn to meet the Carterton B team during the first round will have to take a bye. It is highly probable that the latter course will be adopted.
