THE "DEAR LOAF" BOGEY.
LONDON, October 11. Mr Andrew Bonar Law, Conserva-, tive member for Dulvvich, and late j Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade, speaking at Newcastle, said that within a few months the price of corn had increased eightfold as much as the whole Corn Tax suggested without much affecting the price of bread, and showing the "dear loaf" bogey.
