MASTERTON CRICKET ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Masterton Thursday Cricket Association was held in Messrs W. B. Chennells and Co.'s office, last evening, when there were present—Messrs G. Isaacs (in the ciiair), C. Owen (Carlton), H. Hall, J.Wilson (W.F.C.A.), A. C. Feast, C. Fairbrother (Carterton), and F. P. Welch, hon. secretary. Apologies for absence were [received from Messrs E. Collinge, J. Waters, S. R. Edwards and J. Bradbury. The annual report and ■' balance sheet were read and adopted. It was decided that the ground fees owing by the Y.M.C.A. CluD should be reduced to lis 3d. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: — Patron, Mr W. B. Chennells (reelected); President, Mr W. H. L. Galwey (re-elected); Vice-Presidents, Messrs A. W. Hogg. M.H.R., W. C. Buchanan, A. Henderson, A. C. Major, D. Caselberg, T. J. Porter and Dr. Cowie; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr F. P. Welch. Rule 14, relating to the General Committee, was rescinded, and i*. was decided that all the delegates to the Asscciation should constitute the committee, seven to form a quorum. It was decided that nominations of teams for championship matches should close on October 14th. Rule 50 was amended so that a win will count two points, whether by default or otherwiss, and a draw one point, all matches to be played out. Various other rules were amended, and it was decided to hold a meeting on the 14th instant, to draw up fixtures for the first round of the championships.
