Messrs DaUety an 3 Co., Ltd.. report as follows: —We held a clearing sale on account of Mr G. J. Firth, at his farm Central Road, Newman, on Friday last. There was a fair attendance of buyers. All cows in milk and in calf brought good prices. Empty cows were hard to quit. Pigs, weaners, etc., fair values. We quote:—Cows in milk and in calf averaged £5 13s 6d. The herd all over averaged £5 15s lOd. Small hoggets lis lOd, yearlings (mixed sexes) 27s 6d, calves (three days to fourteen days old) 3s 6d, porkers 27s 6d to 30s (sd, bull £2, milk cans and buckets fair values.
