Received September 5, 8.42 a.m. LONDON, September 4. Wheat —Two Australian cargoes sold at 38s and 38s 6d respectively; 14,000 quarters of January-February shipment at 37s 6d. At the ta!low sales 1,633 casks _ were offered and 246 sold. Prices V _*g£ re unchanged.

The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company caDles the following report on the frozen meat market:—The mutton market is weaker. Quotations— Canterbury mutton, 4Jd; Napier, Wellington and North Island, 3|d. Lamb, first s|d, second s£d. Beef, hinds 3£d, fores 2|d.
The New Zealand Loan arid Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd, received the following cablegram., dated September sth, from London, yesterday morning:— "We quote present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow: —Fine mutton 365, good beef 345, mixed 33s per cwt. Market inactive."
