THE STANDARD OIL TRUST.

PRICE OF KEROSENE

Received September 5, 9.34 a.m MELBOURNE, September 5,

In the Federal Senate, Senator Finley complained of the Standard Oil Company raising the price of kerosene by threepence per gallon since the tariff had been introduced. He urged enforcement of the Anti-Trust Law.

The Vice-President stated that the Government was enquiring, and if the enquiry revealed that there had been a breach of the Anti-Trust Law, the Standard Oil Trust would be made to suffer.
