NEW ZEALAND RIFLE TEAM.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 23. The following team have been chosen to represent New Zealand at the forthcoming Australian rifle meeting:—A. Ballinger, Wellington; W. H. Ballinger, Wellington; Duncan, Denniston; Mills, Dunedin; Cameron, Masterton; Moslem, Auckland; Purnell, Wanganui; Milroy, Nelson; Craw, Chorlton; Wilkie, Upper Hutt; Masefield, Blenheim; Ayson, Wyndham. Others were asked to join, but declined on the ground of business engagements. Colonel Collins has arranged for the issue of new rifles to each member of the team. Passages have been booked by che Wimmera, which sails for Sydney direct on Friday, October 4th, so as to give them a week's practice before the meeting. The selection of the team was limited to competitors who attended the last Trentham meeting. The officer in charge has not yet been selected.
