KIA ORA WRECK INQUIRY.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 21. The evidence and finding of the Magisterial inquiry into the wreck r.f the Kia Ora has been duly considered by the Marine Department, and it has been decided that no further action will be taken, as the case had been thoroughly gone into by a competent Nautical Court at Auckland, and all the available evidence had been heard. It was not considered possible by the Department to glean anything likely to throw fresh light upon the circumstances associated with the wreck by holding another inquiry, nor was it deemed advisable to impose any penalty on anyone concerned if the Court had not done so.
