EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.

CHRISTCHURCH, August 12,

The statement for the twelfth week of the Utility Poultry Club's third egg-laying competition, at Lincoln College, shows that 992 eggs were laid during the week, making the total to date 10,417. The best totals for the week were: —Miss Rita Nixon, White Leghorns, 34; W. Knight, Black Orpingtons, 34; A. Snodgrass, Black Orpingtons, 33. The highest results to date are:—W. Knight, Black Orpingtons, 313; T. Kennedy, Silver Wyandottes, 306; H. Hawke (Greytown), White Wyandottes, 302.
