A LUCKY ESCAPE.
By Telegraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL, July 15. A man named James Patterson tried to cross the line as a train was entering Thornbury Station to-day. The engine caught him as he was mounting the platform, and turned him over. His worst injury was a dislocated shoulder and a variety of minor bruises were subsequently discovered when he was taken to the Riverton Hospital.
