BLACK-PREMYSLAV CONCERT COMPANY.

The Black-Premyslav Concert Company will give one entertainment in Masterton on Tuesday, June 25th. • Mr Andrew Black has been for more than ten years one of the finest singers in England, and has been specially well known as the leading soloist in the Handel Festivals given at the Crystal Palace. M. Premys'av is not yet 23 years of age. He has already toured in many parts of the world, and has been a great success. He has achieved the ambition of every young artist, that of playing to Royalty, and in Sydney and Melbourne recently he gained immense popularity. Whilst touring Germany'asa child-prodigy, HerrPremyslav enlisted the patronage of Prince Albert of Sachsen-Altenburg, who placed him with Dr. Joachim. During his period of study under that great artist he was also befriended by Robert Mendelssohn, a relative of the composeriof that name. Eventually he played as soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra, and twice he was] called before* the German Emperor at the Berlin Shloss. He has with him a Joseph Quarnerius (1740), valued at £l,lOO, and a Lupot, both very fine violins. The sta-s will be assisted by Miss Rosina Buckman (soprano), and Miss Bessie Beattie, who is highly spoken of as a pianoforte soloist and accompanist.
