NEW ZEALAND BOWLERS.
(From Our London Correspondent.) LONDON, April 12. Intense interest is being displayed in the approaching visit of the colonial bowlers who are to try conclusions with over a score of the Old Country's teams. The New Zealanders, coming as they do under the auspices of the associations of their colony , naturally claim to be a thoroughly representative combination. The leading centres of Auckland, Chriatchurch, and Wellington will be represented in the team. Mr T. Ballinger, who forms one of the party, also came over in 1901, when the Australians were also here. Immediately upon the arrival of the team in England a meeting is to be held in London for the purpose of drawing up an itinerary. Already an invitation has been received from Wales to play at least two matches. It is interesting to note that neither Australia nor New Zealand teams have hitherto played in the Principality, though the Canadians, when on a visit here two year ago, tried conclusions with Wales. A matter occasioning. surprise to visitors to this country is the lack of uniformity in the dress of the players in regularly constituted teams. In New South Wales and Victoria the light and dark blues are as much in evidence as at Cambridge and Oxford. In addition to this distinguishing dress, they wear the club colours on the occasion of matches. It would make the English greens more picturesque if the same conditions obtained here.
