(Bideford Correspondent). V, iIIDiSFORD, April 1. The Tinui Hack Racing Club's meeting wa.-i hold at Rowanui, Blairlogie, on Saturday, in a paddock kindly la.il by Mr Liverton. Inconsequence of the rough state of the •weather during the past few days, #0 course was in a very wet and •floppy stato. The details of the racing are as follow: Hack Hurdle Handicap, of 6 sovs; 1 mile.—Mr T. Dwyer's Sir Garnet 1, Mr B. Scholiied's Rangipo 2. A good race between tho first and second horses. Maiden Piute, of 5 sovs; C furlongs.—Mr C. A. White-man's Patent Safety 1, Mr B. Leathwick's Lady <3'jy 2. Patent Safety won by a , chain'. Ladies' Bracelet, of 5 sovs; 6 furlongs.—Miss R. Southey's Starlight 1, Miss Hill's Golden Gato 2. Coming into tho straight, Te Kahau, who -was close up alongside Starlight, came to grief, giving his rider a nasty spill. Rewanui Handicap, of 5 sovs; 4 furlongs. —T. Dwyer's Sir Garnet 1, Mr O'Donoghuo's Weary Bill 2. Tinui Cup, of 10 sovs; 1 mile.—Mr F. Hill's Wind 1, Mr A. Southey's „■ Starlight 2. This was a great race for first and second places, Wind just getting through in the 4 last few strides. Lady Flintlock ran into a , fence, giving her rider a nasty shaking. * Stewards' Handicap, of 7 sovs; 7 furlongs.-Mr E. Collerton's Lady Flintlock 1, Mr T.< Dwyer's Sir Garj net 2. J Maiden Trot, of 5 sovs; 2 miles.— *Mr H. Miller's Dick 1, Mr P. Southey'iS Matahi 2. Consolation Saddle, 6 furlongs.— Mr B. Schofleld's Rangipo 1, Mr F. Hill's Golden Gate 2. A very close finish. Lady Guy and Te Kahau were close up.
