Nelson and Marlborough Combined, commenced this morning, but was stopped this afternoon by a thunderstorm accompanied with rain. Nelson, winning the toss, batted first, playing fifteen against the Englishmen's twelve. Their score reached 98, three men being run out in an anxiety to score.
