By Telegraph—Press Association. WANGaNUI, Dooember 28. The Christmas Carnival sports were held this afternoon. Bam tell during the last two races. The following are the results of thß events— Wanganui Handicap Chop.—W. Gregory 1, 0. Hutton 2, E. Pretty 3. Sawing Competition. Matson Bros. 1, Gregory and. Michael 2, Oasey and Pretty 3. At the conclusion of the meeting W. Weston, of Victoria, world's uhauipion underhand ohopper, gave an exnibition under-hand chop, cutting though a 16-inch log in 17seo. Ihe 120 Yards Flat was won by Hatchings; the 220 yards Handicap by A.. Morris; and the mile by L. Ward. B. Campion won the naif-mile, mile and twomiie cycle events.
