The Wanganui Rifle Association's sixth annual meeting commenced, to-day, in fine weather. The competitors number 101. Only two matches (Taranaki and Manawatu) were completed. The Taranaki Match resulted: — !R. J. King (Opaki), 63 ... ... 1 Crow (Linton), 63 ... ... 2 W. Winslade (Opaki), 63 ... 3 McMurray (Hawke's Bay), 62 ... 4 The Manawatu Match resulted:— W. Winlade (Opaki), 65 1 Marett (Taranaki Rifles), 65 ... 2 Drummond (Wanganui), 64 ... 3 At the annual meeting, to-night, almost all the officers were re-elected. It was decided to reduce the charge for challenge - shots to one shilling each.
