PALMERSTON N. STOCK SALE!,
Messrs Abrahata and Williams, Ltd., report on their sale, on Thursday, as follows—We had another large yarding of cattle, and it was a difficult matter to find sufficient accommodation. Very few outside buyers were present and, for a number of large lines of 2 to 3-year steers, bidding was slack. Other sorts maintained recent prices. Very few grown bullocks were yarded. Sheep, as usual, sold readily at good prices. We quote—-2-tooths, 11b, Ms 9d to 15s 6d; forward wethers, 15s 8d; lambs, 8s 7d; ewes, with small lambs, 19s; 3 and 1-year bollocks, £5 to £5 8s 3d; 3-year steers, £3 17s 6d to £4 10s; 2-year steers, £3 to £3 9s 6d; 18-nionths steers, £2 5s to £2 8s; 18-month heifers, 30s to 365; yearling heifers, 23s to 27s 6d; forward cows, 27s to £2 ss. .
