RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION.
Received December 17, 8.13 a.m. , MASSOWAH, December 16. Menelik-IL, King of Abyssinia, is making a tentative proposal for the establishment of a railway from Khartoum to the interior of Abyssinia, with a view of obtaining a short cut to the Mediterranean.
