WAIRARAPA CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.

ANNUAL SPORTS MEETING.

The annual sports meeting of the Wairarapa Caledonian Sooiety will bo held on New Year's Day, for which a very liberal programme has been provided. The prize money totals £214, and in addition there will be thirteen gold medals awarded to the principal events. The quoits competitions, which now attract competitors from all the surrounding districts, will be held under the rules of the newlyformed Quoils Clubs' Association, and all other events will be conducted under the rules of the New Zealand Athletic Union. Eutiieß for the handicap events will cloae with the secretary, Mr J. a Emroett, at 9 o'clock, on Saturday, December Btb; entries for all other events can be made on the grounds. The Town Hall has been engaged for the couoert in the evening, for which an attractive programme is being arranged. , ■
