METHODIST SYNOD.
By Telegraph—-Press Association. STRATFORD, November 23. The Wanganui Methodist Synod concluded its session here to day. [t. was resolved—-"That, in view of the argent need of Church extension throughout the colony and the embarrassed state of the Home Mission Fund,- the Synod pledge Its self to raise one shilling per member throughout the district in addition to the ordinary contributions, with a view to all Oirouits and Home Mission stations throughout New Zealand falling into line." This was estimated to iaiße £IOO in the Wanganui distriot, and a total of £720 in iho colony. A resolution was also passed affirming the desirability of constituting New Zealand a separate Conference.
