Stephanus Smit, a grandson of the late Preaidont Kruger, who was found guilty of the murder of Hermann Davis, has been pronounced insane, and ordered to be confined during the Govern, pleasure. ; J
The two men were co-operating in a search at Daspoort, in the Transvaal, for sixty thousand pounds, which had been buried during the Boer War. Smit shot Davis, whose mutilated body was afterwards f^und.
