"ASIA FOR ASIATICS."
(Per Ventura nt Auckland.) ST. PETERSBURG, Oct. 21. -The St. Petersburg Telegraph Agency has received a despatch from Tokio saying that the antiBritish movement in India is receiving much encouragement from Japan, where everyone is being made to foster a. feeling of kinship between the two dark races, and tojjpreaoh the lessons of the RussoJapanese war. The Budduists of the two countries are fraternising, and exchanging visits, nud steps axe being taken to encourage the coming of Hindoo students to Japan, where tney will be surrounded with an atmosphere of disaffection. Hindoo scudents now in Tokio, the correspondent of the Agency continues, haxe just published an address, iu which they appeal to India, to heed the. call of "Asia for Asiatics," and to rise and oast off the.British yoke. Certain merchants of Japan, have sent a mission to India to endeavour to supplant boycotted British meiohandise with Japanese goods. These efforts are meeting with a warm welcome. .
