WELLINGTON SUPREME COURT.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 19. The final sitting of the Supreme Court in criminal jurisdiction tor the year commenced this morning before the Chief Justice. Twenty-five persons were scheduled for trial, and four prisoners had been committed for sentence. John Connell who pleaded guilty to forgery and was found guilty of an indecent assault, Jobn Lisher convicted of assault and robbery, and Patrick O'Brien guilty ot an unnatural offence were remanded till Wednesday for sentence. Juan Gomez who had committed a breach of the Post Office Act by untruthfully stating m a letter that he had enclosed £4 was liberated on six month's probation. The jury failed to agree in the'case of Maria Neary charged with assault at Pahnerston North.
