SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE.

By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 30. The agents of the Oceanic Company announce that it is probable thai the Sonoma will not leave Auckland for San Francisco until November 16th—a week late. Mr Oockroft, general passenger agent at San Francisco for the Oceanic Steamship Company, ar rived by the Sonoma yesterday. Asked wheher ho was commissioned by the company to make any proposals to the Government in connection with the renewal of the Sau Francisco service, Mr Cookroft stated that he had not received any such Instructions. He intended to proceed to the Exhibition shortly, and while in Wellington would call upon the Premier. When lio returned to America he would report on matters relative to the company.
