RIFLE SHOOTING.

MASTERTON VOLUNTEERS. The "Saturday mßn" of the Masterton Rifle Volunteers began their trophy shooting on Saturday, in very unfavourable weather for shooting. The wind was blowing half a gale, the windage during toe afternoon veering from 15 degrees right to 4 degrees left; the strength of the wind bei»g variable, a difference of wind, almost imperceptible to the man shooting, was sufficient to cause the snores in the majority of cases to below. The conditions were :—Seven shots at eaoh of 200, SGO and 600 yards. The following scujcs wore registered : A CLASS.
