ASHHURST-POHANGINA RACING OLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. Tho annual racing fixture of the Ashhurst - Puliangina Kaciog Club will be held on the Ashhurst Racecourse on Friday, Deoetnber 26th next, for whioh tbe stewards uf this desei'vodly popular Club have arranged an attractive programme with a total stakes of 1,405 sovs for the one day's meeting, an increase of 300 BDVS on last year. The principal event of the day is the Ashbnrst Oup, 500 sovs; the next in order of value being the Pohangina Handicap, 300 sovs; and although richly endowed the nomination and acceptance fees are exceptionally low. The Ashhurst Guineas, the Club's classical event, hap attracted numerous entiiiss, and should prore an interesting race. In the hack division the stake in eaoh event is get down at 100 sovs, besidps whioh pay not less than 10 sovs aa third money in every race, and all stakes are paid in fall. Since last year the Stewards have paid particular attention to thair grounds and appointments. Tbe courso proper hHS been thoroughly top dossed, and will be in first-class order for racing on. The Club naturally expect that so liberal a programme will meet with the approval of owners, and they should be rewarded by large entries and first class fleldß. There can bo no doubt that this Club is fully entitled to a permit for the use of the totalisator for ita one day meeting. Nominations for all events and Guineas payments will close with the Secretary, Mr A. W. Trass, Ashhurst, at U p.m., oa Saturday, December Ist.
