The newspaper Novoe Vromya describes the Anglo-Russian rapproohement in connection with Persia as a general entente of the two Empires to oheokmate Germany's designs, especially as regards Baghdad. TRAVELLERS STOPPED. Received Ootober 25, 7.55 a.m. COPENHAGEN, October 24. Russians who had travelled to Copenhagen were astonished when Russian deteotives boarded the steamer and informed the travellers that if they landed they would be arrested and escorted to Russia. If they preferred fto return they were told they might do so, and were also told to inform their comrades that it would be impossible to do anything in Copenhagen. DEBARRED PASSENGERS * NIHILISTS. ASSASSINATION OF EMPRESS DOWAGER OF RUSSIA INTENDED. Received October 25, 10.2 p.m. COPENHAGEN, Ootober 25. The Russians debarred from landing at Copenhagen were JVihilists. Their intention was to assassinate the Empress Dowager of Russia. OUTRAGE AT VLADIVOSTOCK. SEVERAL PEOPLE WOUNDED. Received October 25, 8.30 a.m. VLADIVOSTOCK, Oct. 24. A band of armed brigands, after wounding several pedestrians in order to clear the streets of spectators, pillaged a jeweller's shop at Vladivostok after shooting the proprietor.
