BOMB OUTRAGE NaRROWLY AVERTED.
PLOT NIPPED IN IHE BUD.
SEVERAL ARRESTS MADE
Received Ootober 21, 4.46 p.m. | ST. PETERSBURG, Ootober 20. The perpetration of a bomb outrage was narrowly averted at Kronstudt. An infantryman, named Vlassoff, went to* thej place where a courtmartial was in progress, and requested a policeman on duty to hand a parcel to the soldiers guarding the prisoners on trial. , An examination of the parcel revealed the contents to be a powerful bomb weighing flve^pounds. Vlassoff was immediately arrested, and confessed that a soldier to whom the paruel was addressed would have handed it to a bluejacket who was undergoing trial, and who in turn would have thrown the missile at the commandant of the fortress and the judges at the table. The plot was to avenge the recent sentences and executions. A woman by whom the parofi was brought from St. Petersburg has been arrested, together with military plotters. ■ f _ _ WHOLESALE TRIALS. ST. PETERSBURG, Oct. 19.1 Wholesale trials are taKing place in Russia. Three generals, twenty officers, and two hundred and sixty soldiers are being tried at Moscow on charges of sedition.
A PRINCE'S SUICIDE. ST. PETERSBURG, Oot. 19. Jfrinae Misoherskyr the Czar's friend, committed suicide in a Moscow train. He apparently feared assassination by the revolutionaries. On a visiting card found on him were the written words: "Cannot esoape my destiny."
