A meeting of tbe Directors of tbe Wairarapa Caledonian Society was be! 3on Saturday afternoon. Tbeie were present:—Messrs J. H. Pauling (chairman), J. B. MoKenzie, B. E. Chamberlain, A. MoLeooV T. Wyeth, J. McLean, F. Hill, R. Gamerou, A. Fraser, W. Sellar, W. L. Falconer, K. H. Waddington, Q. Stewart, D. MoLaohlan, K. Cameron. Ibe President was elected superintendent of the sports on New Year's Day. xlt was decided to engage the Masterton Municipal Brass Band for the sports gathering on New Year's Day at a fee of £lO. Mr Ulio Shannon was elected bandioapper. The following Committees were appointed: Conoert Committee: Mefsra D. Guild, J. B. MoKenzie, T. P. Lett, R. Gray, F. Hill, J. McHattie, E. H. Waddington, J. 0. MoKil'op, J. .xMcLean, W. Sellar, G. Stewart, A.fFraser, Ground Committee: Messrs W. L. Falconer, F. Hill, J. B, McKeuzio, A. MoLeod, T. P. Lett, A. Turner, E. E. Chamberlain, W. Perry, J. H. Pauling, J. C. MoKillop and G. MoHattie. Messrs J. B. T MoKenzie and T. Wyeth were elected haodioappers of the quoits events at the sports. It was decided that Mr H. Wolfe, of Eltham, frame the handicaps for the j wood-chopping events. Messrs W. J D. Watson, JR. Gray and J. 0. Mo- | Killop were appointed starters. Messrs J. fl. Pauling, J. B. Mo Kenzie, J. McLean, W. D. Watsnn, J. 0. MoKillop, T. Wyeth, A. MoLeod, and. F. Hill were appointed a committee to draw uii tbe programme for the next sports mooting, and submit it to a meeting of directors on November 3rd. Mr T. Duncan resigned the position of secretary. On the motion of Mr F. Hill tbe resignation was accented with regret. It was decided to invite applications for tbe position of secretary; applications to olose on November 3rd. It was resolved to ask Mr Duncan to hold the position of secretary until November sth. On the motion of Mr J. B. MoKenzie it was decided to vote Mr Dunuan the sum of £lO 10s as a bonus for past services. Mr F. S. Cooper was elected a member of the Society.
