\ Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock sale as follows:—Sheep yarded were In excess of advertised numbers, the entry consisting princi pally of hoggets, of which about 1,500 were yarded. Bidding at auction was lifeless," but we quitted the whole yarding before the close of the day. The yarding of cattle was satisfactory, a good oiearanoe being made at late rates. We quote:—Sheep—Fat ewes |l9B, forward wethers 19s lid, hoggets, best 17s, othern 16s 6d to 16s 9d, ewe hoggets 16s 6d, mixed ewes and wethers 7s. Cattle—Springing heifers £3 to £3 17s 6d, heifers iu calf (backward) £2 2s to £2 9s, 15-montbs steers £2 to £2 ss, yearlings 27s 6d to £2. Figs—Slips 12s to 14s 6d. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Pahiatua stocksale as follows:—We submitted, a good yarding in both sheep and cattle. Owing to the boisterous weather, the attendance of buyers was small; bidding consequently dragged. In sheep, however, a satisfactory clearanoe was made privately. Cattle of good quality met with fair |oompetition, but interior sorts were neglected. We quote:—Sheen: Hoggets, ;best 16s, others 15s lid, 15s 9d, 15s 6d, 15s, down to 14s 6d; fat and forward ewes and wethers 19s 6d. Cattle: Springing gbeifers £3 to £3 15s; heifers in calf £2 to £2 15s; empty heifers, 30s to 37s 6d; store oows, 20s to 345; mixed yearlings, 223 6d to 345.
