Canterbury brands are quoted at 4}<jd. Other than Canterbury at 4%d. The beef market ia firm at 3}£d and 2%d, being the respective quotations for hind and forequarters. Choice New Zealand butter is selling at lids, and Danish at 122s per owt. The cheese market is a little quieter at the same quotations as last week. Good business was done in hemp, and higher prices were obtained g.f.a.q., Wellington, on the spot, is quoted at £34 10s per ton. The same quotation rules for October-December shipments. The stock on hand is 624 tons. There is no alteration in the cocksfoot seed market since last weeU. New Zealand long-berried wheat, on the spot, is quoted at 30s 6d per 4961b5, short-berried at 30s (thesd prioes are nominal). New Zealand Sparrowbilloats, ex-granary, per quarter of 3841b5, are quoted at 255, Danish, per 3201b5, at 19s 6d.
