NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHEISTCIJCJROH, Sept. in. The New Zealand Golf Championshio Meeting opened at the Shirley Link?, this morning, under somewhat luauspicious weather ooaclitions. The day was showery, and a strong south-west blowing, which interfered considerably with the play of many of the competitors.
To-morrow morning the first round of the Canterbury Championship will be played, the third round of the New Zealand Championship being played iu the afternoon.
