LONDON MARKET ADVIUES,

Dalgety and Company, Limited, Wellington, have reoeivbd the following cables from their London boose, dated 6fh instant:— Butter—Market firm. The Copenhagen official auotarion is higher by oue kroner (about Is l}4d) per owt. (Raised for purposes of adjustment.) Tbe total imports into the United Kingdom for the week ending the Ist September amounted to 81,000 cwt, us compared with 99,000 owt for the corresponding period of 1905.

Frozen Moat—Demand continues for lamb at unchanged prioes Poor demand for mutton aud prices are weaker. There is still a demand for beof and prices are firm. We quote: New Zealand prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy. 4d. North Island, henvy, 4d. Canterbury mutton, heavy, 3}/|d. Canterbury lamb, light, 4}£d. North Island, light 4%d. Prime ox beef, fores hinds, Pork, sd.

Tallow—The spot market is very firm. Since our last telegram, tallow in general is higher by 3d to Od per owt. STOCK SALES. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Wellington, report having held clearing sales on account of Mrs M. A. Wilkins, of Trentham, and Mr J. Meagher of Kereru. At the former sale prices for cowb ran from £3 5s to £6. Heifers, £2 17b 6d to £4 10s. I Balls, £1 to £1 15s. At. the later prices for best cows ranged from £6 to £9. Other sorts, £3 to £5. Heifers, £3 7s 6d. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., re- ! port on their Eketabuua sale, hold j in Eketahuna, on Friday, 7th iust.: ~A large yarding of cattle, prUioipally aged cows and heifers in oalf. Cons were neglected, and sold at poor prices. Hai;eiß close to profit sold better. Steers and weaners sold freely at a slight rise. We quote:— 2% year steers to £4 10s, 2-year steers to £3 ss, 12 to 16month? steers £2 14s, springing heifers to £4 15s, aged cows £2 , to £4 53, weaners to 26s 6d. We also held a clearing sale on the farm of Messrs Hudson Bros., of Newman, on Thursday. Although the cowfl were poor any snowingforward in calf sold readily at good prices, averaging £5, with toe exception of three not in calf. Heifers, springing, to £i 10s, 16-montha Bteers £2 Is, 16-raontbs heifers 36s 6d, milk cans to 13s, bull 255.
