HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Sept. i. The House met at 2.30 o'clock. The Premier moved, by the leave of the House, that the House sit on without the supDer adjournment in the evening. Be agreed at the same time that it shall be an understanding that no speech shall be taken up after 10.45 o'clook. His object was to rise every night of the Financial Debate between 11 and 11.30 o'clock. Mr Massey preferred to take the supper adjournment and go on till 12 or 12.30 o'clook. After an informal discussion, the motion was carried by 54 votes to 17. THIRD READINGS. The registration of Births Extension Bill and the Opium Prohibition Bill were read a third tfme. LANDLESS NATIVES BILL. The Native Minister moved the second reading of this Bill, explaining the object, namely, to allooate and legalise the titles to certain lauds set aside by Royal Commission in the South fslaud for the benefit of the landless natives of that island, whioh, for the purpose of this Aot, inoludes Stewart Island. Mr Herries congratulated the Minister, bat considered the land provided was insufficient. Mr Stevejs insisted that the titles ought to be individualised. Mr Parata complained of the insufficiency of the land, and urged the reference of the Bill to the Native Affairs Committee. The Bill was read a second time on the voices and referred to the Native Affairs Committee. The House adjourned at 5.15 p.m.
